Virtuosity is a book based in a love story, Carmen is a girl who has been always concentrated in playing the violin, and to win the prestigious Guarneri competition, util she meets Jeremy, he is another contestant, she has been following him for a long time, and when she finally meets him, she fall in love with him, but Jeremy is not a good boy for her, he is selfish, rude, and mean, he will only hurt her, but she does not care about that, she wants to know if he could change, at first when they met, he sent her an e-mail, saying a lot of rude comments about her, and she does not how to respond, but she did anyways.

Carmen know that kissing Jeremy is not going to end well, but she can not stay away. She thinks that nobody else can understand her and riles her up like him, still she can not trust him with her biggest secret, she is so desperate to win, that starts to take some anti-anxiety drugs to perform, but with the time that starts to be an addiction. Carmen is unhappy because she can not feel anything on the stage, and more because she has always been done what she is told.
